About
We measure search results the way a browser draws them
RankIt Telemetry Inc. is a small Seattle company, founded in 2023, building telemetry for people who are tired of rank reports that never match the traffic.
Our story
RankIt began as an internal tool. In 2023, Soren Lindqvist was running distributed crawlers for client sites and kept hitting the same wall: the rank report said first place while organic traffic fell. The cause was on the screen, not in the data. Modules above the listing were growing taller every quarter, and no tool measured them.
He built a renderer that recorded layout geometry, saw the problem in numbers, and the first customers asked for access within weeks. The company has stayed small on purpose, and every engineer still reads the raw renders.
What we build is deliberately narrow. We do not sell content tools, link packages or generic audits. We collect, render and measure, then hand you the evidence and the alerts. Plenty of excellent agencies and consultants turn evidence into strategy; our job is to make sure they are all looking at the same page.
Soren Lindqvist, CDO
Soren spent more than a decade in distributed systems before founding RankIt, most of it building crawler fleets: schedulers that spread millions of fetches across regions, politeness controls that keep a crawler a good citizen, and headless rendering farms that survive the memory leaks of long-running browsers. He still reviews every change to the collection pipeline and writes the engineering notes on the homepage.

How we work
Measure first: we would rather publish a number we can defend than a score that flatters. Show the render: every metric links back to the geometry it came from, so you can argue with it. Stay small: a short chain between the person who finds a bug and the person who fixes it keeps data trustworthy.
We work from an office on Westlake Avenue in Seattle, with collection infrastructure spread across several regions so checks come from the places your customers actually search. If you are not sure who to write to, use the form below and we will route it.
Infrastructure reliability
Collection is the product, so we hold ourselves to published numbers. Figures cover the trailing twelve months to 28 October 2026.
99.97%Collector availability
38 sMedian render-to-record latency
2.4MResults pages rendered per day
3×Retries before a check is marked failed
A failed check is logged and shown in your dashboard; it is never silently skipped or back-filled with an old value. These numbers come from our own monitoring and are reviewed monthly by the engineering team. We would rather show a dip with an explanation than a flat line nobody believes.
